When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the

following:

1. Read all instructions carefully.

2. Before using the coee maker, check if the voltage indicated corresponds with the electric outlet

3. Do not use two-way socket with another appliance.

4. Do not use any appliance with a damaged cord or plug. If the cord is damaged it should be replaced

with the same type and size or bring the unit to the nearest Imarex authorized service center.

5. Do not use the coee maker if the water tank is empty.

6. Do not place the coee maker near gas stove, electric burner or heated oven.

7. Put the coee maker on at surface keep it away from the edge of counter to avoid accident. d;

8. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

9. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory

or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision

or instruction concerning use of the appliances by a person responsible for their safety.

10. Do not allow cord to touch hot surface of the coee maker.

11. To avoid electric shock, do not immerse the coee maker in water.

12. The use of accessory not recommended by appliance manufacturer may result in re, electric shock or

13. Avoid placing the carafé on a wet or cold surface especially when hot.

14. Do not use the carafé if it has a crack or the handle is not stable.

DESCRIPTION OF PARTS

HOW TO USE

1. For initial use, wash lter basket and the carafé thoroughly.

2. Plug the unit in a convenience outlet, always make it sure that the unit is in OFF position. to

3. Swing out the Funnel; place the Filter Basket Holder with the Filter Basket and make it sure that is

properly assembled.

4. Put ground coee into the lter basket using a measuring spoon, standard measurement is one scoop

of ground coee (7 to 8 grams) for a cup of water (8oz.), but you may adjust according to personal

taste, and then close the funnel.

5. Fill carafe with the desired amount of water. Open the lid of the water tank, pour water from the carafé

and close then.

Note: Do not ll water tank above its maximum level as indicated on water gauge.

6. Wipe and place the carafe into the keep warm plate.

7. Switch the unit ON.

8. During the brew cycle the water will automatically drip into the carafé. ,

NOTE: The appliance is designed with a pause-and-serve feature, if you wish, at any time during

brewing cycle, you can temporarily remove carafe to pour and serve a cup of hot coee. The

brewing cycle will not be interrupted and no coee will drip from the unit, simply return the glass

carafe onto the warming plate to restart the brewing cycle, but do not remove the ass carafe gl

longer than 30 seconds.

9. Remove carafe to serve after the brewing cycle, (about one minute later after the coee stops

dripping out).

NOTE: The coee you get will be ss than the water you have poured, as some water is absorbed le

by coee ground.

CAUTION: When pouring coee, make sure that the angle of the carafe does not 45 exceed

degrees in reference to the vertical position, you can pour the coee slowly until the carafe is

empty, be careful not to over tilt and spill the hot contents of the carafe. The hot contents of the

carafe burn the skin on contact.

10. After brewing, the appliance will automatically switch to the warming mode, which will continue to keep

your coee warm until you press the button to the “O” position. It is suggested that warming time shall

be not more than 1 hour; aroma and coee taste will decrease as long as it is exposed. For the best

coee taste, serve it just after brewing.

11. After use, switch OFF and unplug the unit from the convenience outlet

NOTE Always turn o the unit if the carafé is empty. :

HINTS FOR GREAT-TASTING COFFEE

1. A clean coee maker is essential for making great-tasting coee. Regularly clean the coee maker as

specified in the “CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE” section.

2. Always use fresh tap water in brewing coee.

3. Store unused ground coee in a cool, dry place. After opening a package of ground coee, store it in

an airtight container to maintain its freshness.

4. d For the best coee taste, buy whole coee beans an nely grind them just before brewing.

5. Do not reuse ground coee since this will greatly reduce the coee avor.

6. Reheating coee is not recommended as coee is at its peak avor after brewing.

7. on Clean the coee maker when over-extraction caused oiliness. Small oil droplets the surface of

brewed, black coee are due to the extraction of oil from the ground coee.

8. Oiliness may occur more frequently if heavily roasted coees are used.
