GETTING STARTED
SENSOR SET UP
This product uses 1 AAA rechargeable battery which should
be charged via the solar panel.
IMPORTANT ONLY Place NiMH type rechargeable
batteries in the solar panel battery compartment. Do not
charge non-rechargeable batteries.
NOTE Install battery in the remote sensor before the main
unit.
To set up the remote sensor:
1. Slide open the battery door.
2. Slide channel switch to select a channel (1, 2, 3). Ensure
you use a different channel for each sensor.

to charge it for at least 12 hours before ļ¬rst use.
5. Initiate a sensor search on the main unit to start receiving
temperature (and humidity - THGN132ES only) data
from the sensor.
IDEAL LOCATIONS FOR REMOTE SENSOR
The sensorās solar panel does not require direct sunlight.
The ambient or reļ¬ective light of the sun will provide enough
light to effectively charge the batteries.
Ideal placements for the sensor would be in any location on
the exterior of the home at a height of not more than 1.5m
(5 ft) and which can shield it from direct sunlight or wet
conditions for an accurate reading.
1.5 m (5 ft)
To check if there is sufļ¬cient sunlight at selected
location:
Press located in the battery compartment.TEST
Green LED (directly above TEST) will light up to indicate
battery is being charged.
For best results:
⢠Place the sensor within 30 m (100 ft) of the main unit.
⢠Place the sensor out of direct sunlight and moisture.
⢠Position the sensor so that it faces the main (indoor)
unit, minimizing obstructions such as doors, walls and
furniture.
⢠Place the sensor in a location with a clear view to the
sky, away from metallic / electronic objects.
⢠Position the sensor close to the main unit during cold
winter months as below-freezing temperatures may
affect battery performance and signal transmission.
TIP The transmission range may vary depending on many
factors. You may need to experiment with various locations
to get the best results.
Solar panel:
⢠Direct solar panel as follows:
Solar panel facing: If you reside in the:
North Southern hemisphere
South Northern hemisphere
⢠Do not scratch the solar panelās surface or wipe it with
strong detergent.
⢠Do not expose the solar panel to rain, snow or

operating time is determined by either the intensity of
sunlight or the position of the solar panel towards the
sun.
⢠Do not overcharge the batteries.
Securing the sensor:
⢠Secure the sensor in the desired location.
Each 4 hour charge in optimal conditions generates enough
power to operate the unit for 1 week when weather conditions
are not ideal.

DISTANCE

BELANGRIJK Plaats ALLEEN oplaadbare NiMH batterijen
overvloedige vochtigheid is.
1.5 m (5 ft)
