Havis is pleased to provide this Ownerās Manual to aid in the proper installation
and use of the DS-PAN-210 Series/220 Series Docking Station for the Panasonic
CF-19 laptop computer.

This Ownerās Manual applies to the following Part Numbers:
ā¢ NEVER STOW OR MOUNT THE DOCKING STATION DIRECTLY IN A VEHICLE AIRBAG DEPLOYMENT ZONE.
ā¢ DO NOT USE COMPUTER WHILE DRIVING.
ā¢ READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS THOROUGHLY BEFORE BEGINNING INSTALLATION.
ā¢ DO NOT MATE COMPUTER TO DOCKING STATION UNLESS COMPUTERāS DOCKING CONNECTOR ACCESS DOOR IS
FULLY OPEN OR DAMAGE MAY RESULT.
ā¢ DO NOT DOCK OR UNDOCK YOUR COMPUTER UNLESS IT IS POWERED OFF. DOCKING OR UNDOCKING
WITH YOUR COMPUTER IN ON, STANDBY, HIBERNATION, OR SLEEP MODES CAN CAUSE PERMANENT
DAMAGE.
ā¢ FOR THE DS-PAN-211, DS-PAN-211-2, DS-PAN-212, DS-PAN-212-2, DS-PAN-214, DS-PAN-214-2,
DS-PAN-221, DS-PAN-221-2, DS-PAN-222 & DS-PAN-222-2 DOCKING STATIONS:
DO NOT CONNECT DIRECTLY TO VEHICLE VOLTAGE SOURCE: This product requires a certiī¬ed, automotive
grade, Panasonic approved 90W power source rated for a continuous, regulated 15VDC output
(Havis Part Number LPS-101 or equivalent). Failure to comply with this requirement will cause product
damage that is NOT repairable and is NOT covered under warranty.
ā¢ FOR THE DS-PAN-213 DOCKING STATION:
DO NOT CONNECT DIRECTLY TO VEHICLE VOLTAGE SOURCE: The Panasonic CF-19 laptop requires a
certiī¬ed, Panasonic approved power source rated for a continuous, regulated 15.6VDC output.
Failure to comply with this requirement will cause product damage that is NOT repairable and is NOT
covered under warranty.
Installation of Screen Stiļ¬ener (DS-DA-405 - Optional)
Installation of USB Laptop Lighting (DS-DA-101 - Optional)
1) Align holes in Screen Stiļ¬ener bracket with the mounting holes on the left
side of Docking Station.
2) Insert the (2) #8-32 Screws and torque to 16.0in-lbs (1.8Nm) Ā± 10%.
3) Loosen Adjustment Knob to set the desired position of the LCD and tighten
Adjustment Knob to secure position.
1) Remove Screen Stiļ¬ener Clip from Upper Bracket and spread open tabs to
allow insertion of USB Laptop Light cable into accessory retaining hole.
2) Snap USB Powered Light into Screen Stiļ¬ener Clip so that top surface of Bulb
is īush with bottom surface of Clip and insert assembly into Upper Bracket.
3) Work tabs outward so that retaining features on both sides of Clip īt through
positioning window on the Screen Stiļ¬ener Upper Bracket.
4) Plug the Laptop Lighting USB connector into one of the USB ports in your
computer or Docking Station.

ā¢ If a malfunction occurs, immediately unplug the Power Supply and remove the laptop
ā¢ Use only the speciī¬ed Power Supply with this Docking Station (Recommended Part # LPS-101)
ā¢ Do not store the Docking Station where water, moisture, steam, dust, etc. are present
ā¢ Do not connect cables into ports other than what they are speciī¬ed for

Precautions
Installation of Power Supply (LPS-101 - Optional)
1) Power oļ¬ computer and ensure all cables are disconnected from computer.
2) Plug in both input and output cables (supplied with LPS-101) into the
Power Supply brick.
3) With the Docking Station right side up, drop (4) #6-32 screws (supplied
with LPS-101) through the holes in Docking Station.
4) While supporting the (4) #6-32 screws, īip the Docking Station upside
down and place (1) īat washer over each of the (4) #6-32 screws (4 places).
5) Place the Power Supply brick over the (4) #6-32 screws ensuring that the
screws pass through all of the bosses on the Power Supply brick and the
cables are pointing in the direction shown.
6) Place the remaining (4) īat washers over each of the #6-32 screws and
hand start a #6-32 locking nut onto each of the screws.
7) Torque all (4) #6-32 locking nuts to 8.0 in-lbs (0.9 Nm) Ā±10% ensuring
that the #6-32 screws stayed properly aligned with the bosses of the
Power Supply brick.
8) Route the Power Supply output cable as shown and secure connector
to power input port on Docking Station.
9) Return to Installation Step #2 on Page 5.
